"Secret Agents of the British Invasion!"

right then, on with the shows.....
No events currently scheduled. Check back soon! .....come on, it'll be a smash!!!!

the ifstory.....
imagine if - At a school dance, you hear Chuck Berry, Little Richard, and Elvis for the first time. The following day instruments are purchased and a band is born.
imagine if - Your slightly off his rocker uncle allows you to play in his pub for tips. Within weeks a line out the door every Saturday and no room to move inside. Fast forward a year and now you are the single most popular pub band in England.
imagine if - A record contract is offered, but while en route to file the copyrights at the patent office, the drummer is mugged and the manuscripts are stolen.
imagine if - Conspiracy! Suddenly the contract is rescinded, you’re banned from the BBC, and a battle with the transport union makes it impossible to tour. Within a short time, you are forgotten.
imagine if - Songs very similar to those stolen, become hits for a new generation of British bands, some of whom become some of the most successful recording artists of all time.
imagine if - After many years, a lone manuscript surfaces, providing the link between the wrongs of the past and the mysterious disappearance of the ifs.
So began their mission as the Secret Agents of the British Invasion…to
infiltrate each city and town with the style that was once theirs alone.
"You may not know our names, but you’ll remember the sound".
.....and we're sticking to it
some lovely audio bits.....

Party for the Parks
Tonight!
Our longest running annual gig. Please join us at Hoyt Lake in Delaware Park for Olmsted Party for the Parks. The party is a fund raiser and an amazing cultural experience for everyone in the Western New York community to enjoy! The show starts at 6PM and we should hit the stage around 8:30. Inlite, a promising young Brit-pop band opens.
Ifs Pitching for Japan Earthquake relief
While the devastation caused by the recent earthquakes and tsunami in Japan has certainly stirred hearts and first-responders worldwide, the benefit event organized by The Good Neighborhood is as much a response to the charitable interests of Good Neighbors as the tragedy itself.
Over the past couple weeks, calls have come from many corners of Buffalo asking The Good Neighborhood to organize an event to help – the response is Good Neighbors Helping Japan, a celebration of local Japanese connections serving to support Red Cross Japan Earthquake and Tsunami Relief, set for Pearl Street Grill & Brewery on Thursday, April 7th, beginning at 9:00p.m.
The event will feature three sets of music – first, the free form jazz outfit Blue Collar Dreamers, led by Buffalo-based, SUNY Fredonia-trained, and Ashikaga, Japan, native saxophonist Kengo Yamada. Yamada and friends will hand the reins to turntablist DJ Cutler, who will infuse kindred Japanese spirits such as DJ Krush and Osaka Monaurail into a set that will turn up the soul shakedown party. Following Cutler will be the homecoming of Buffalo-based rocker Geno McManus – currently on one of his regular tours of Japan – who will share scenes and stories from his latest trip across the Pacific while leading his “secret agents of the British Invasion,” the Ifs, in taking home the evening.
In addition to a silent auction and split raffle in support of the cause, a unique “Cranes for Planes” raffle will offer origami paper cranes made by local Japanese college students, each crane numbered for a chance to win prizes including a skydiving adventure from Freefall Oz in Shinglehouse, PA (south of Olean); Discovery Flights from Bob Miller Flight Training of Lancaster and Western New York Flight Training of Lockport; and more. Students are gathering on Sunday, April 3rd, 2:00p.m., at El Buen Amigo (114 Elmwood Ave), to prepare the paper cranes, and invite anyone interested to join them for a lesson and to help the effort.
“Some might say that Japan does not need our help, but we shouldn’t forget that the Japanese responded with support to the U.S. in the wake of Hurricane Katrina,” said The Good Neighborhood founder Seamus Gallivan. “Good Neighbors live by the Golden Rule, and this event honors not only our friends overseas, but those here in Buffalo with ties there, as well as those who’ve reached out to us looking for ways to help – including organizers of gatherings at Nietzsche’s this past week with Troop 556 and a large cast on April 15th, both of which have committed to supporting Japanese relief efforts.”
